Prof. Dr. Suresh is a scientist and an a professor in the department of medicine in University of Malaya, the crème de crème of higher education in Malaysia and rank amongst the top 200 universities in the world.
Prof. Dr. Suresh has won worldwide acclaim with a number of scientific breakthroughs in Medicine. At the young age of 34 he was awarded as the “Young Scientist” by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, in 1995. He is internationally recognized for his over 160 researches being published in the International Medical Journal as breakthrough findings in the field of medicine. A research project headed by Dr Suresh won the International Gold Medal in Geneva for the invention of in vitro diagnostic kit for Blastocystis, which is being currently patented internationally.
Prof. Dr. Suresh is an advisor and had also chaired the water guideline committee in World Health Organization (WHO) based in Switzerland. He has also won many accolades’ and awards from many Governments for his outstanding contributions in the medical field, the recent one being the highest award of Government of Scotland for the recognition of his contribution of collaboration between both countries in initiating and setting up of South East Asean Diagnostic Laboratory, a “Blue Ribband” British Council Project. He is one of the Top 10 Scientist in the world in the field of Blastoclystis and regarded as a “genius” to have natural gifted intellectual ability to comprehend complex structures and pursue breakthrough discoveries.
